The Parish Board of St Michael were looking to improve the appearance of the Church and replan the Narthex to improve circulation and provide office space for the Priest to meet visitors.  

Our design maintains the original geometry of the church, by repeating the flat gable of the original  parapet walls.  The Parish wanted more arches to be introduced to compliment the eastern tradition of the Orthodox Church, so the covered verandah and the much desired belltower repeat the flat gable  while also repeating the arches of the existing windows.
