Ferry

A complicated little job with joint clients on neighbouring sites. Both clients needed a garage and one wanted a Studio. The solution was to create a stratum over the garages to accommodate the studio. Both properties achieved a garage space, while one property controls the space above the garages. The studio was designed with the intent of maintaining the privacy between neighbours, whilst capturing valuable northern light for a site that struggled from overshadowing. The original goals to retain the existing brick storefront to the rear were achieved with their new garage usage.
